Enjoy the breath taking beauty of the mountains, waterfalls, lakes and streams you will find in The Poconos Mountains. Bird watchers love the mountain region! If you are interested in art, tour one of the area’s many galleries. Shop in the quaint boutiques unique to the mountain region or hit the outlet malls for an all out day of shopping. History buffs will find interest in one of the region’s tours of sites of historical importance. There are also tours of local wineries and breweries in which visitors may choose to participate.

Kids of all ages will be interested in the Houdini Museum. It focuses on the life of great escape artist Harry Houdini. If haunted houses and wax museums are among your interests, you will even find those in The Poconos Mountains, too. There are also a number of water parks and play parks the children and the entire family will enjoy.

Want to see it all and try it all, too? There are plenty of recreational activities to keep you on the move during your vacation to The Poconos Mountains. In the winter, hit the slopes for some snow skiing or a snowmobile ride. Never done it before? Don’t worry. You can take lessons once you get here. The Poconos Mountains also have a number of lakes and ponds popular among ice skaters. In the spring and summer months, plan to enjoy golfing, horseback riding, swimming, water skiing, hiking and biking in the mountains.

After a full day of vacation activity – whether you just relaxed or got outdoors to participate in some recreation – a night out on the town would be a lot of fun. Adults may choose to wrap up a full day with cocktails and dancing at one of the area’s popular night clubs.
